Following the recent cyclone event, the resilience and support shown across the region has been incredibly encouraging.
Site Status & Program Update
Following a comprehensive site inspection, we’re pleased to confirm that the project has come through the weather event well.
Construction remains on track, with no major damage identified across the site. Importantly, the retaining walls recently constructed have not sustained any impact, reinforcing the quality and durability of the works completed to date.
What’s Happening Next
As works resume, the next stages of construction will continue to shape the future streetscape and lot levels across the estate:
- Earthworks will recommence next week, with a further 600mm of fill to be placed across the site
- Sewer infrastructure is already positioned on site, with works expected to commence from 8 April, subject to subcontractor access between Karratha and Exmouth
- Retaining wall construction is scheduled to recommence on 16 April, in line with the overall program
These milestones mark important progress as the development continues to move from early works into more defined civil construction phases.
Looking Ahead
Sundrift Exmouth has been carefully designed with long-term durability and coastal conditions in mind. The recent weather event has provided further confidence in the strength of the planning, engineering, and delivery approach undertaken across the project.
